This year’s Christmas Celebration in Dow City is planned for December 17th with activities planned throughout the day. The theme for the event this year is based on the Charles Dicken’s novel "A Christmas Carol". You will see many references to the book and it's characters used through out the days events.
The planning committee has gift wrapped a festive schedule that would make even Scrooge grin:
- 11am to 4pm Vintage Christmas @ Dow House (also open Sunday 11am-2pm)
- 3:00pm Cookie Exchange at Community Building
- 3:00pm to 7:00pm Holiday MarketPlace at City Hall
- 4:00pm to 6:00pm SANTA at Community Building
- 4:00pm to 6:00pm Soup Supper at Community Building
- 6:00pm ”A Christmas Carol” parade on main street—line-up at the Dow City park starts at 5:30pm with no pre-entry necessary!
- 6:45pm Euchre Tournament at Community Building
- 6:45pm Kids’ Movie in Thomsen Chiropractic building
- After the parade: Open Gym at BV North
